StockKit.ai is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used and stored. We believe in plain language — no legal jargon.

1. Who We Are

StockKit.ai is an algorithmic trading alert platform providing real-time RSI-based stock alerts, performance tracking, and market data through our web dashboard. For questions about this policy, contact us at james@stockkit.ai.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Account Information

Your email address and hashed password, stored securely via Supabase. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Required to create and access your account.

Subscription & Payment Data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status so we know which features to unlock.

Usage Data

Basic analytics about how you use the platform (pages visited, features used) to help us improve the product. This is not sold or shared with advertisers.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your brokerage credentials, portfolio data, or trading account information
  • Advertising profiles or tracking data across other websites
  • Data used to train AI models
  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party, ever

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your account and keep it secure
  • To manage your subscription and unlock Pro features
  • To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts)
  • To send StockKit alert notifications if you opt in to email alerts
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns

5. Third-Party Services

SupabaseAuthentication and database hosting. Account credentials and app data are stored securely in Supabase.
StripePayment processing for Pro subscriptions. PCI-DSS compliant. We never handle your card details directly.
VercelWeb hosting and deployment of the StockKit.ai application.
Google Cloud PlatformBackend infrastructure powering alert generation and market data processing.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not permit them to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies, strictly for functionality:

  • Authentication cookies — keep you logged in. Essential and cannot be disabled without breaking the app.
  • Session cookies — temporary, expire when you close your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you across the web.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required for legal or financial compliance (e.g. Stripe retains billing records).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, opt out of non-essential communications, and export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email james@stockkit.ai. We will respond within 7 business days.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Payment data never touches our servers. We regularly review our security practices and access controls.

10. Children's Privacy

StockKit.ai is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
